Position: Climate Adaptation Support Assistant

Location: virtual, anywhere in Atlantic Canada
Type: summer student position, 8 weeks
Pay: $20/hr, 37.5hrs/ week with flexible work hours
Contract length: ASAP to Aug. 28, 2026

About the position
If you are interested in helping people in Atlantic Canada understand how climate change affects them and you enjoy helping others find ways to manage and address those impacts, then this job could be a great fit! The Climate Adaptation Support Assistant works with the CLIMAtlantic team on adaptation activities throughout the region. Your work will include event planning and developing engaging communications products.

The successful Climate Adaptation Support Assistant must possess:
The Climate Adaptation Support Assistant may travel throughout Atlantic Canada at times. Though the Climate Adaptation Support Assistant will engage regularly within the CLIMAtlantic network, their work will require that they be self-motivated and are able to work independently with effectiveness and efficiency. The Climate Adaptation Support Assistant has a positive attitude and is both creative and proactive.
